Leadership
Ed Murphy
Ed is a Partner at Emerald Search Partners, LLP and he directs the firm’s Corporate Strategy & Operations, Strategy Consulting and Market Research practices. His success in creating long-term business relationships built on integrity and mutual respect are hallmarks of the firm.
Ed has more than 25 years of experience in the professional search industry, and he has played critical roles within globally recognized and boutique firms prior to founding Emerald Search Partners, LLP in 2001. Ed earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Boston College where he majored in English. Ed resides in Massachusetts and enjoys spending time with close friends & family, Cape Cod, playing golf and is a life- long Boston sports fan.
Michael Biron
Mike is a Partner at Emerald Search Partners, LLP and leader of the Asset Management, Strategy, and Finance & Accounting practices. Over the last 25 years he has partnered with his client’s leadership teams to acquire and retain talent. He has deep expertise in a variety of industries including Life Sciences, Private Equity & Venture Capital, Retail & Consumer Goods, Technology and Manufacturing.
Prior to Emerald Search Partners, LLP Mike began his career with a boutique search firm where he spent 12 years as a member of the management team that grew the firm to a publicly traded international organization. He was the founding Partner of the Boston office for a start-up search firm for 7 years until the firm’s sale to a private equity firm in 2013. Earlier in his career he worked in Deloitte’s Assurance practice. Mike earned his Bachelor of Arts from Assumption University where he majored in Accounting. He splits time between Sutton, MA and Englewood, FL. He enjoys spending his free time with family, traveling and playing competitive pickleball.
